Animals are very open to Reiki, theyseem to understand its
power to heal. Reiki is gentle and non-invasive. It does not cause stress, discomfort,
or pain, and yet it can yield good results. There is no physical manipulation
or pressure applied during a treatment. Animals know instinctively when and
where they need healing and how much they want. They will often present the
area or part they want treating or will move until the practitioner's hands
are in the right place. If an animal will not allow the practitoner to approach
closely or it is too dangerous to approach, Reiki can be sent distantly from
a safe distance.
Animals suffer emotionally just as
their humans do. They can feel fear, anxiety, frustration, loneliness, boredom
and grief as well as the more positive emotions. Reiki can also help to heal
old emotional traumas that may still be causing problems long after the event.
It can relieve stress and promote mental and physical relaxation.
Reiki can also alleviate signs and
symptoms of many illnesses and injuries. Healing triggers the release of natural
endorphins that have pain relieving and 'feel good' effects. The body's own
healing ability is enhanced.
Reiki treatments will promote well-being
and help to maintain good health.
Reactions to Reiki and other healing
techniques vary widely. Many animals relax and go to sleep, some may stretch
or yawn, others become restless and may itch or groom themselves during a treatment.
It is important to allow the animal to rest in the period following the treatment
and allow access to clean, fresh drinking water.
Reiki healing may be requested for
many different reasons but specific results and response to treatment cannot
be predicted or guaranteed. A single treatment will be beneficial but a course
of Reiki treatments given over a few weeks may be recommended depending on individual
circumstances.

Did you know that there were over 200 Minor Chakras in an Animal above are the main chakras as we know them but positioned on the dog. As in Humans these can become blocked and lead to ill health and we as healers can help our animal friends, it is beautiful to know that they can be helped just as much as us humans.
